Bitcoin Falls Twenty Five Per Cent in One Week

(MENAFN) Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, has fallen roughly 25.1% over the past seven days and dropped 12.7% in the last 24 hours, hovering around $63,070 as of 2200GMT, according to market data.

The decline erased all gains Bitcoin had accumulated since US President Donald Trump’s election victory and inauguration. Following Trump’s win on November 5, 2024, the pro-crypto sentiment pushed Bitcoin from $68,000 to over $100,000 by December 17, 2024. The digital currency had reached an all-time high of $126,200 in October 2025.

Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency, also experienced significant losses, falling 12.9% to $1,850 and dropping 34.5% over the past week.
